This wonderfully modernist lodge in the dramatic setting of the Dolomites mixes minimalist design with warmth and character. The only way to reach the mountain top retreat is by cable car (don't worry you bags will get there too). Set in spectacular mountain scenery the resort looks like a giant eagles eerie. It is an inspiring place created by classically trained artist Matteo Thun and so sophisticated in it simplicity it is hard to believe it was one of his first architectural projects. The design proves that a 'wood' doesn't always mean 'chalet.' The resort is the perfect base for winter skiing or sunny hiking and horse riding in the Summery South Tyrol.
